The Life of a Concert Addict

As we get closer to the end (*gasp!*) of 2018, I can’t help to think about the several resolutions that I have made for myself.

I hate, I mean ABSOLUTELY HATE publicly vocalizing my resolutions to either people I’m close to or even posting it on social media. If I tell everyone about it, it makes me less likely to follow through with them as I’ve learned. So this year, I wrote them down for me, myself and I to know.

The biggest and probably most expensive resolution I’ve ever made was for 2018: attend more concerts.

It’s no secret, my taste for music is just as eclectic as I am, ranging from rap to alt-rock. I’ve been to quite a few concerts in my lifetime, but never as many as I’ve been to this year alone.

I must admit, while I’ve either bought the cheapest tickets or know someone who’s won freebies, the budget I’ve blown on concerts (think about food, WATER and merch, people) is probably equivalent to the amount of dough I’ve thrown on makeup over the past few years.

My logic behind all this is that I really enjoy paying for the experience. I am a self-proclaimed concert junkie. I’ve been to three concerts total, all one month after the next.

Here’s who I’ve seen in 2018 so far:

  • Logic (Openers: NF and Kyle)
  • Wiz Khalifa (Openers: O.T. Genesis, Lil Skies, Rae Sremmurd)
  • G-Eazy (Openers: P-LO, Ty Dolla $ign, Lil Uzi Vert)

And here’s who is still on the agenda:

  • Niall Horan
  • Kid Rock
  • 21 Savage and Juicy J
  • Travis Scott (Openers: Gunna and Trippie Redd)

As you can see, there is still a lot of concert viewing to be done this year. This is one of the first resolutions that I have been able to follow through on, which makes me really excited and hopeful for all my future resolutions to come!

I’m dying to hear if you guys have been holding up on your resolutions or have given up on them completely, let me know in the comments below! Until next time, guys!

Follow your dreams (and me too, please!)

I went through a stage where I just lived for festivals. I probably went to an event a week- from smaller free gigs, big ampitheatre shows, bar performances, afterparties in clubs or three day camping festivals. Cost a fortune but still some of the best memories of my early adulthood.
